Capabilities
Geospatial Platform Setup and Administration for Your Business
MBS has set up (installed and configured) appropriate enterprise (Cloud service) hardware and associated geospatial and administration software, such as installing and configuring ArcGIS Server and Portal to support a variety of geospatial platforms needs. Such as:
- Nationwide federal land applications
- Nationwide irrigation business and financial tracking applications
- Power project engineering, field collection, and administration application
Geospatially Enable Your Tabular Data
MBS has geospatially enabled tabular data so the data can be consumed along with other, readily available spatial data such as aerial photography, planimetric contextual data, and other industry data associated with a variety of specialized businesses. Such as:
- Cadastral, land title and PLSS data
- Irrigation, power, and safety of dams infrastructure
- Forestry stand inventory data
- Wildland fire data
- Climate change data
Geospatial Analysis
MBS has utilized powerful geospatial analytical tools such as “Spatial Analyst“, 3-D Analyst”, “Image Analyst”, and “Arc Hydro” to provide value-added data that did not exist before to support a variety of business needs. Such as:
- Dam failure inundation zone data to support first response and emergency action planning
- Irrigation inventory and condition assessment data
- Wildland fire fuel, vegetation, and present burn condition data
GIS Development and Integration
MBS has also provided COTS or custom developed web-interface enterprise geospatial solutions tailored to the needs of our clientele including:
- Arc Server and Portal for an on premises solution allowing for the integration of data housed with our client to be integrated with data stewarded by other organizations.
- ArcGIS Online for a more affordable, ESRI platform and software as a service solution.
Cartographic Output
MBS has provided many cartographic solutions, hard copy, digital, and live/interactive for multiple clientele: These solutions unlock the entire suite of services in a single, visually accessible format. MBS has been internationally recognized and awarded on more than one occasion, in this case receiving 2nd place in an international cartography competition hosted by ESRI for best data integration:
The real power behind excellent cartography is that once an effectively immersive and intuitive cartographic product has been developed, it can be repurposed an unlimited number of times at a fraction of the cost in time, allowing MBS to pass that collective time and money savings onto our customers.

Examples of Work
ArcGIS Enterprise Database Solution
Challenge - Our customer was struggling with modernizing their tabular database system. The current system was a custom in-house solution that was over 30 years old. Major concerns around data integrity, database security, and solution sustainability were hampering the organization’s ability to trust its data and make accurate data-driven decisions
Solution - MBS evaluated the customer’s long-term goals and geospatial strategy and recommended a cost-effective solution to migrate the legacy database to a new GIS COTS solution. Rather than deploy an entirely new system, MBS migrated the legacy tabular database into an ArcGIS Enterprise Datastore.
Outcome – The ArcGIS Enterprise Database automated the data load/transform process from multiple data sources and provided a modern process for cleansing and validating data. The ability to automatically identify missing or invalid data from multiple data sources enabled the organization to shift focus from data validation issues to strategic value-add initiatives and operational improvements. Modernizing the system also allowed the organization to leverage modernized data security protocols and paved the way for future technology updates.
ArcGIS and Salesforce Integration
Challenge - Our client required insights into their location-based Salesforce data. Most CRM systems contain data with a geographic reference. In this scenario, the customer needed to provide a method for end-users to access field data directly from the Salesforce application to view parcel sizes and calculate land fees.
Solution - MBS developed an application called GeoSync. Geosync is a no-code integration that allows users to visualize and derive geospatial data from ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise within Salesforce. GeoSync enables Salesforce Administrators to configure schema and data mapping, facilitating the delivery of GIS data into Salesforce Objects.
Impact - MBS GeoSync is a game-changer and can help your organization by automating processes, streamlining workflows, and combining data from two very powerful industry-leading solutions. MBS can adapt GeoSync to integrate with other systems to suit your organization’s unique requirements.
Water Resource Tracking and Monitoring
Challenge - The customer is responsible for managing a water system that included dams, irrigation structures, power structures, and the associated assets used to support the system. They were coordinating over 170 different entities and projects without a unified tool stack or an enterprise-wide view of the system. MBS worked with the client to bring efficiencies and modern tools into play.
Solution - MBS implemented a cloud-based Enterprise GIS program and replaced an archaic system of disparate tabular databases, blueprints, and hard copy design templates.
Impact - This enabled visualization of the eco-system, reporting of damaged assets, and quick and efficient allocation of water resources.
